The Annual Forum will take place the 25th to the 28th of September in the headquarters of the Fundación Euroárabe and will be titled “New Structures of Governance and Promotion of Public Services”.

Under the topic of change induced by “Technologies of Information and Communication” (TIC), which has the appearance of new structures of governance, the forum will focus on critical topics within this complex framework. The objective is to discuss the beginning of public information for the use of citizens. In this sense, it will address the evolution of portals of “open data” (which means the philosophy and practice that peruses what determines which information is free without copyright restrictions, patents, or other mechanisms of control) in many countries and geographic areas.

Distinct sections of the forum will examine the implementation of the TIC by the public authorities on a local level in Europe. It will discuss how the principle institutions responsible for the provision and collection of information are a fundamental part of functioning politics in this area; there will be references to the legal marks needed to allow this. This way it will describe the deficits of the implementation when running this job.
