On 6 and 7 May, the Euro-Arab Foundation hosted at its headquarters in Granada, a meeting with the partners of the MI-ICT project (ICT Enabled Public Services for Migration), funded by the Horizon 2020 program of the European Union. This research project seeks to improve the access of migrants and refugees to public services, through the development of tools based on Information and Communication Technologies.

The Euro-Arab Foundation, as an active member of the MI-ICT project consortium, brought the other partners together at its headquarters in Granada last 6 and 7 May.

The meeting, which was opened by the Executive Secretary of the Euro-Arab Foundation, Inmaculada Marrero, served to evaluate the activities carried out so far within the framework of the project, such as focus groups or workshops.

  • The MI-ICT project, one of the four selected in its Horizon 2020 European programme call, aims to improve the integration of migrants and refugees into our societies through the development of ICT-based tools tools which facilitate their access to public services.

One of the key aspects of this project funded by the European Union's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020, is the participation of research target groups -migrants, public sector and NGOs - in the design of these tools.

In this way, the project plans to customize the interfaces of access to key public services, so that they respond better to the needs of migrants and refugees.
