International Chair of Amazigh Culture

The agreement signed yesterday at Doctor Leila Mezian Foundation's headquarters in Casablanca (Morocco) takes place within the framework of the International Chair of Amazigh Culture.

This Chair, created in December, 2014 by both the Euro-Arab and Doctor Leila Mezian Foundations, serves as an instrument of cultural diplomacy, not a governmental one, for the promotion of all aspects of Amazigh culture in Europe and North Africa, encouraging Euro-Amazigh cooperation, as well as development, promotion and research in that culture.

The creation of that Chair is considered an important step towards the promotion of Amazigh culture, the construction of a sustainable Euro-Amazigh partnership and the creation of networks of world-renowned experts and researches from different universities and countries.

This can be witnessed through the activities that took place during 2015 within the framework of that Chair and varied between international forums of experts, exhibitions, workshops, concerts and cinema seasons, to which is added now the establishment of Doctor Leila Mezian Library.
